Default Better Rewards for doing Endgame Missions

I would like to see better quest rewards for the final missions of the game. Really, after reaching ember light camp, what is your motivation for finishing the quests?

I say this because I find the Defend (insert town) quests extremely difficult to do. For one reason, Its really really hard to find anyone else who is actually doing these quest. Secondly, I find they are very challenging quests to complete. Thirdly, you get jack crap for doing them. I was really disappointed that I didn't even get a cut scene for finishing these quests. Who needs XP from these if you are already level 20??

My suggestion would be to have greater rewards for doing the last quests of the game. Let a Green be the reward for completion instead of being able to farm them. Let attribute points be the reward, say like 5 for each titan quest. Make completing these quest the way to get the best armor of the game.

I just feel like Anet kinda just gave up on PvE after reaching ascension and especially after THK. When I undertake this massive, long, difficult missions I want to really feel like I had a purpose/reason for completing them. Give me a reward that akes me feel like "wow that was hard but sooo worth doing". I find it so frustrating that I did these quests and got nothing to so for it. Maybe they could give some sort of status symbol for completing the final quest of the game so others could see it and say " wow, that guy beat the game. I want to beat the game too!"

What do you all think?

But you did get something for it, enough XP that you probably earned a skill point.

I have more skill points than I know what to do with, so thats not much of a reward.

I wanted to see the ending cut scene.

I need all the extra skill points I can get, so that I can learn all 450 skills for my character.

This would be feasable I guess.

No. The Maximum attribute points is 200, no higher, no lower.

"Best armor" can already be found at Droknar's Forge.

After you get all skills/elites (the rest came from quests), though, extra XP really is not so tempting anymore, especially as you continue gaining XP no matter what you do.

Regarding the OP: I agree that the rewards for end-level quests/missions should correspond to the respective difficulty. As such, I find it difficult to understand why the drops are only marginally better than in prior regions.

How about after you complete all missions/bonuses (At the end of the game) You have your choice to customize a (ONLY ONE!) perfect item for your character. It'd be like the PvP item customization, but you'd have a selection of 5 graphics for your weapon/shield/focus item. (There would be no super fancy graphics like a Shadow blade or a Fell blade) After you create it, it'd go into that characters inventory (If the inventory was full the person would have to trash something) It could only be done once.

Not greens. Please. Everyone already complains about the drop in prices of greens already, and how there are too many. Imagine what would happen if everytime someone beats a quest, they get this certain green. Can you say Flint's greens?

What I'd rather have is something like the quest rewards and collector items in the Ascalon area. Silly mods, or just wierd ones that you can't find on normal drops. The +5 energy wand, the +13 Energy staff, the Fiery Flame Spitter, etc. I guess they could still be green, but if you look at most greens, they are max dmg near collector quality with perfect mods. I'd rather have max dmg wierd mods.

They can't change the rewards of these quests anymore. Think of those who have completed the quests. It would cause a huge flamewar.

These ideas could still be used in the Factions storyline, but we don't know what it is like.

Ok maybe not a green. But I think it should be something special, maybe a sweet looking skin or a mod that does not generate anywhere else in the game. SOMETHING that makes me feel like I accomplished those quests for a purpose!

I still think a character should get a special something for Ascension, a visual bit added to the armor or something (inherently applied to each armor set) to show the world that he/she had joined the ranks! Anyone can go get Forge armor now, even 15K. And yes, I know that only Ascended can get Fissure armor, but not everyone wants or can afford *that*. (Only FoW armor I like is the ele...and that is a marginal liking)

First Titans quest can be done with henches.....my ranger had a much easier time with them than my necro did with half pug/half hench. I know...and hope...the others will be a much bigger challenge!
